Vaccination Services
Vaccination is an important part of preventive medicine, helping to prevent complications and reduce the risk of developing serious diseases. By stimulating the body to produce antibodies, vaccines help individuals develop immunity against specific pathogens, thereby preventing infections or alleviating the severity of diseases, and protecting both personal and community health.
Disease Prevention: Vaccinations can effectively prevent diseases such as influenza, measles, cervical cancer, shingles, and others.
Reducing Complications: Vaccines can lower the risk of complications caused by diseases, such as pneumonia from influenza or encephalitis from measles.
Protecting High-Risk Groups: Vaccinations are especially important for infants, the elderly, and people with chronic illnesses, protecting them from severe diseases and more serious complications.
Protecting Community Health: Vaccination can reduce the transmission of viruses within the community, safeguarding the community from viral threats.
We offer the following vaccination programs. If you are considering receiving any of these vaccines, please consult our doctors.

Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
Influenza (flu) is an acute respiratory disease caused by the influenza virus. Receiving the seasonal influenza vaccine is an effective way to prevent seasonal flu and its complications, and can also reduce hospitalizations and deaths related to influenza. The peak flu seasons in Hong Kong are generally from October to March and July to August. For individuals with weaker immune systems and the elderly, getting the flu can lead to more severe illness and complications such as bronchitis, pneumonia, encephalopathy, and in severe cases, death. Due to the vaccine’s effectiveness in preventing influenza and its complications, all citizens, except those with known contraindications, should receive the seasonal flu vaccine annually to protect personal health.
Vaccine Charges
HK$260 per injection (applicable for individuals not covered by vaccination subsidy schemes)
Vaccination Subsidy
To encourage influenza vaccination, our clinic offers free seasonal flu vaccinations to the following eligible groups:
Eligible persons for the vaccination subsidy program include:
- Pregnant women
- Individuals aged 50 or above
Pneumococcal Vaccine (15-valent / 20-valent / 23-valent)
Pneumococcal bacteria are common in the respiratory tract, and even healthy individuals can carry the bacteria. Pneumococcus can be transmitted through droplets or oral contact. Children under five and seniors aged 65 and above are at higher risk of severe illness. Pneumococcus generally causes sinusitis and otitis media, but it can also lead to serious diseases such as pneumonia, sepsis, and meningitis. Vaccination with the pneumococcal vaccine is one of the most effective ways to prevent pneumococcal diseases.
Streptococcus pneumoniae (also known as pneumococcus) can cause various invasive diseases, including bacteremia, pneumonia, meningitis, arthritis, osteomyelitis, pericarditis, hemolytic uremic syndrome, and peritonitis. Among invasive pneumococcal diseases, serotype 3 is the most common in Hong Kong and poses the greatest health threat.
Vaccine | 15-valent (Vaxneuvance) | 20-valent (Prevenar 20) | 23-valent (Pneumovax 23) |

Suitable recipients and number of doses | Individuals aged 6 weeks and above require only one dose. | High-risk individuals aged 18 and above, and all persons aged 65 and above, require only one dose. | High-risk individuals aged 2 and above, and all persons aged 65 and above, require only one dose. A booster should be considered after 5 years. |

The “Pneumococcal Vaccination Program” implemented by the government provides free or subsidized pneumococcal vaccines for eligible seniors aged 65 or above. Individuals without high-risk conditions can receive a single dose of the 23-valent pneumococcal vaccine. Those with high-risk conditions can first receive a dose of the 15-valent pneumococcal vaccine, and after one year, receive a dose of the 23-valent pneumococcal vaccine.
Vaccine Charges
15-valent pneumococcal vaccine (Vaxneuvance): HK$1,400
20-valent pneumococcal vaccine (Prevenar 20): HK$1,800
23-valent pneumococcal vaccine (Pneumococcal 23-Valent): HK$500
Vaccine Subsidy
Eligible individuals under the vaccination subsidy scheme (Hong Kong residents aged 65 or above who have not previously received pneumococcal vaccines) can have the subsidized cost covered by medical vouchers.
15-valent pneumococcal vaccine (Vaxneuvance): Post-subsidy cost is HK$600
23-valent pneumococcal vaccine (Pneumococcal 23-Valent): Free
*Vaccine charges include a consultation with a doctor to understand the vaccination.
9-valent HPV Vaccine (Cervical Cancer Vaccine)

The cervical cancer vaccine (also known as HPV vaccine) is a preventive vaccine designed to protect against human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, especially types 16 and 18, which are associated with over 90% of cervical cancers. Besides preventing cervical cancer, the HPV vaccine can also prevent other cancers and diseases caused by HPV infection, such as anal, vaginal, vulvar, oropharyngeal, and head and neck cancers.
The 9-valent vaccine protects against HPV types 16, 18, 6, 11, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58.
The optimal vaccination age is between 9 and 26 years old; the earlier the vaccination, the better the protection. Both males and females can receive the vaccine to prevent related infections.
*It is recommended that the vaccination be completed within six months to one year.
*Vaccine charges include a consultation with a doctor to understand the vaccination.
Herpes Zoster (Shingles) Vaccine

Everyone has a chance of getting shingles. Shingles is caused by the “Varicella Zoster Virus” (VZV). After recovering from chickenpox, the virus remains dormant in the body’s nerves. When the immune system weakens, the virus can reactivate along nerve pathways, leading to shingles. Studies indicate that about one-third of people worldwide will experience shingles at least once in their lifetime, and the risk increases after age 50. The following groups are at high risk for shingles:
- People over 50 years old
- Individuals who have had chickenpox
- People with weakened immune systems
- Those under stress or with poor sleep
- Patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, lupus, or cancer
The most effective way to prevent shingles is to receive the shingles vaccine early, which can also reduce the pain associated with the condition. The four main benefits of the shingles vaccine are:
- Prevention of shingles
- Reduced risk of recurrence
- Prevention of postherpetic neuralgia (nerve pain after shingles)
- Prevention of acute and long-term pain caused by shingles
Vaccination Schedule
Two doses, spaced 2 to 6 months apart
Vaccine Charges
HK$4,800 for 2 doses
*The vaccine fee includes consultation with a doctor regarding vaccination
Hepatitis A and B Combined Vaccine
The combined Hepatitis A and B vaccine protects against both viruses by stimulating the production of antibodies for each. Hepatitis A is a serious liver disease that can lead to liver failure and death, though such outcomes are rare, especially in older adults and those with pre-existing liver conditions. Hepatitis B is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It can be a mild illness lasting weeks or a severe lifelong condition. The virus spreads through contact with infected blood, semen, or other bodily fluids.
When receiving the first dose, you must present recent (within 3 months) hepatitis B surface antigen and antibody test results to determine if vaccination is appropriate.
Vaccination Schedule
1st dose: Day 0
2nd dose: One month after the 1st dose (1 month)
3rd dose: Six months after the 1st dose (6 months)
Vaccine Charges
HK$3,000 for 3 doses
*The vaccine fee includes consultation with a doctor regarding vaccination
Hepatitis B Vaccine
The hepatitis B vaccine prevents infection with the hepatitis B virus through a three-dose series, building immunity to protect the body. About 90-95% of people develop protective antibodies after three doses, which are lifelong.
When receiving the first dose, you must present recent (within 3 months) hepatitis B surface antigen and antibody test results to determine if vaccination is suitable.
Vaccination Schedule
1st dose: Day 0
2nd dose: One month after the 1st dose (1 month)
3rd dose: Six months after the 1st dose (6 months)
Vaccine Charges
HK$1,500 for 3 doses

FAQ
Most vaccine side effects are mild and temporary, such as slight redness, swelling, soreness at the injection site, or low-grade fever. Vaccination is safe. If you experience a persistent fever, severe allergic reactions (such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips or tongue, hives, etc.), or other adverse reactions after vaccination, please seek medical attention immediately.
If you have a fever or respiratory infection, you should wait until your symptoms resolve before getting vaccinated. People with severe allergies to certain vaccine components are not recommended to receive the vaccine. Before vaccination, you should discuss your health condition and allergy history in detail with your doctor.
